We don’t fear death

we fear what comes

before it.

Being fragile, vulnerable, aged

but most of all

we fear illness.

Just look at all the "Kills 99% of Bacteria" products we have out there.

Even if that were, somehow, a total hoax

we all have a degree of belief.

We don’t fear death

we rightly fear illness

that maims, tortures,

and kills … the only good and ultimate part death plays.

In that scenario, death is the hero that rescues.

We are so afraid of death

we won’t even discuss it.

as though it is futile

to even begin

the discussion.
